MV News: Salvatore Ferragamo Opens New Boutique In Kuwait


Salvatore Ferragamo, one of the world's most renowned luxury brands, is pleased to announce the opening of a Ferragamo boutique in Kuwait City.The boutique is situated in the prestigious Al Hamra Tower, a mall for international brands, including several luxury labels.Strategically located at the gates to the city's commercial centre, the tower is an icon of Kuwait City's commercial business district.

The boutique offers all Salvatore Ferragamo product lines: RTW and leather accessories, eyewear, watches, perfumes and, for the first time in Kuwait, Ferragamo Jewels.The jewellery line was launched in late 2011 in Europe, and Kuwait City is the third location to sell Ferragamo Jewels in the Middle East, where the brand boasts a total of 12 stores.

MV News: Misahara Makes It's Debut In The UAE


Misahara, the bespoke jewelry collection predominantly inspired by the homesteads of Africa, drawing subtle influences from the global fashion catwalks of New York City, Paris, Milan, Rome and Belgrade has announced the launch of its brand in the MENA region, with Dubai as its first stop.

Exclusive: Launch Of The New Grande Epicerie De Paris


After 18 months of renewal and refurbishment, the all-new Grande Epicerie is ready to become the unmissable landmark for food aficionados from Paris, France and all around the world.

Today, the ground floor of La Grande E
picerie de Paris brings together a new typically French Marketplace, the Place du Marché surrounded by it's bakery, Cold Meats/Rotisserie, Butcher's, Cheese Shop/Dairy, Fishmonger's, Pastry and Chocolate Shop.The first floor boasts the 'Table de la Grande Épicerie' restaurant led by Master Chef Jean-Jacques Massé.

The restaurant is suspended between the Marketplace on the ground floor and the future Home and Interiors department on the first floor.Before entering the restaurant via the suspended walkways and tasting succulent seasonal dishes and French cuisine at it's very best, visitors can glimpse the hustle and bustle of the kitchens.

Everywhere, movements are repeated a thousand times, always with the same diligence; the first baguettes are baked in the early hours of the morning and for more time during the day, delicatessen dishes from the 4 corners of the globe are composed on a daily basis, entire collections of macaroons are prepared each day.The La Grande E
picerie de Paris' laboratories are now coming out of the shadows into the light.

In the Rue de S
èvres and Rue du Bac, passers-by can stop and admire their sharply honed skills: the chocolate-maker moulding personalized bars, the confectioner putting the finishing touches to his creations, the baker loading his ovens with over 60 different types of bread.

Save The Date


Cairo Fashion Festival (CFF) committee has decided to launch their second edition this April 2014.After the huge hit last season - resonating with top tier local and international firms - CFF is expected to be the biggest fashion event in town with a series of exceptional activities. 

With over 70 exhibitors, 20 runway shows, live entertainment and an unprecedented setting at Cairo Festival City's state-of-the-art amphitheater, CFF is challenging the industry to a second round of fun, fashion, and glamour all in one day.

The one-day festival concludes 'in style' with a red carpet event hosting 20 runway shows for some of the top design/brand names in Egypt.

Spring/Summer '14 and Fall/Winter '15 collections will be modeled for the first time during these shows to fashion buyers, designers, VIP guests as well as local and international media.

Exclusive: Hermès 'Of Mastery And Time' Exhibition


La Montre Hermès hosted 'Of Mastery and Time', a special horological exhibition at The Dubai Mall.The exhibition displayed some of the Maison's exceptional timepieces within a unique setting that played with time and offered visitors a captivating insight into Hermès' savoir faire in Haute Horlogerie.

On display 
was the Arceau Lift, the first Hermès flying tourbillon watch, inspired by the historical premises of Hermès at 24, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.The double H topping the tourbillon carriage and the barrel bridge of the Arceau Lift reproduced one of the emblematic motifs featured in the interior design of the boutique, above the door of the Lift after which it was named.Limited to 176 pieces, the watch was driven by Calibre H1923 visible from the dial side and was also revealed through an opening carved out in the back of the gold case.

Another highlight was the Arceau Millefiori, an unusual encounter between watchmaking and glassmaking.Beating to the tune of in-house created mechanical calibres, the pieces were inspired by 19th century paperweights, crafted by the Cristalleries royales de Saint-Louis.The 'millefiori' motif (a combination of Italian words meaning 'a thousand flowers') was created through a long and complex glassmaking process, with intricate patterns and a unique floral beauty.



'Of Mastery and Time' also featured the Pendentif Boule, the Heure H with baguette diamonds and the Cape Cod in gold also set with baguette diamonds, amongst others.The exceptional timepieces were inspired by the imagination of the Hermès universe, embodying a unique level of artisanal innovation and the know-how of the Maison in creating high quality objects.

Tod's Gommino Spring/Summer 2014 Ad Campaign

Tod's has launched a dedicated advertising campaign to celebrate it's iconic Gommino collection.The Tod's moccasin, known around the world as the Gommino, was created with the intention of combining classic Italian style with a shoe that can be worn on any occasion.

This casual-chic moccasin was inspired by the driving shoes used in the '50s.It's trademark is a sole covered with 133 rubber pebbles in the same colour as the leather used for the shoe.The leathers used to manufacture the Gommino shoe come from some of the finest tanneries in the world, giving the collection a distinctive look.
